The Institute for Corporate and Capital Markets Law shall stimulate the national and international discussion in the areas of corporate and capital markets law.
It focuses on the following areas:
- Financial Markets and Corporate Finance (including VC)
- Corporate Governance
- Compliance
References to European law, the relevance of self-regulation and aspects of capital markets supervision are being considered.

NAIL Conference 2026: AI, Finance & Law
On 2 and 3 July 2026, Prof. Dr. Christoph Kumpan (Bucerius Law School) and Prof. Dr. Wolf-Georg Ringe (University of Hamburg) hosted the NAIL Conference on “AI, Finance & Law” at Bucerius Law School. Scholars, regulators, and practitioners from Europe, North America, and Asia discussed how AI is transforming financial markets and challenging existing regulatory approaches.
