INSTITUTE FOR CORPORATE AND CAPITAL MARKETS LAW

The Institute for Corporate and Capital Markets Law was founded on June 1st, 2007. It aims to stimulate the national and international discussion in the fields of corporate and capital markets law. The ICCML has three directors – Prof. Dr. Jörn Axel Kämmerer (managing director as of August 2017), Prof. Dr. h.c. mult. Karsten Schmidt and N.N. (until July 2017: Prof. Dr. Rüdiger Veil).

The Institute organizes the annual Hamburg Forum, which covers current issues of corporate and capital markets law and related areas of law. The presenters at the Hamburg Forum are renowned academics and practitioners. Furthermore, the Institute undertakes research projects (such as the recent ones on “Administration of public take-overs in Europe” and “European Capital Markets Law – Unity in Diversity”). The results are published in the ICCML book series released by Mohr Siebeck publishers. Last but not least, the ICCML promotes academic education in corporate and capital markets law at Bucerius Law School.
